I have taken a winding path to the voiceover world. I was student of music at Northwestern University; an IT specialist at Discover Card Services in Chicago and First Union National Bank, then Wachovia; an opera singer with Opera Carolina in Charlotte, NC; and a news anchor for Wachovia and Wells Fargo for their internal news programs “Take 5” and “The Customer Channel.”
In 2003, I began voicing with a trip to a local recording studio to do some narration bits for a First Union industrial. The gig stirred my imagination, and I began the research and practice to make my first demos. Working with sources both local and national, new opportunities came over time, and I started working on projects as small as phone messaging to as large as national ad campaigns.
Since that time, I have been involved in documentaries, videogames, radio and television commercials, in store announcements, web sites, messaging on hold; virtually every aspect of the voiceover industry. I voice about 5,000 messages on hold and in store announcements a year for companies like Courtyard by Marriott, Whole Foods and Big Lots, as well as corporate presentations for Coca Cola, Wachovia and McDonalds, and radio and television for CarMax, Verizon, Disney Casting and McDonalds.
